Gili Nanggu, Sudak, Tangkong & Kedis
Four small islands off southwest Lombok, each with its own beach setting and a different role in a relaxed boat day.

At a glance
Gili Nanggu
The source describes accommodation, beach shelters and a small wooded hill at Nanggu. Its snorkeling observations focus on the northern and eastern sides, while warning against exposed water on the west. A landing jetty appears in the later photo update. Fishing was prohibited in the source; confirm current island rules with your guide.
Gili Sudak
Sudak lies close to the Lombok mainland and is described as inhabited. The guide points to the northeast coast for snorkeling and includes a restaurant visit in its photographs. Ask your boat operator which stops and meal arrangements are included rather than assuming lunch or island fees are automatic.
Gili Tangkong and Gili Kedis
Tangkong is presented as a beach-and-palm-tree stop suited to photographs and a walk, with deeper water in front. Kedis is a very small island whose size is part of its appeal. Small islands still have currents and boat activity around them, so do not treat their compact size as a sign of safe swimming. Leave shells and natural features in place.
Plan the day around sea conditions
The original account recommends a quiet island day with time to read, walk and snorkel. The actual route should follow weather, tides, local access and your group’s swimming ability. Use a life jacket where needed, stay with your guide and ask which snorkeling points are appropriate that day.
