Three nines, two design influences
Emeralda is in Tapos, Depok, south of Jakarta. The club’s official fact sheet describes three nine-hole layouts: Arnold Palmer’s River and Lake, and Jack Nicklaus’s Plantation. Their different routes and visual character allow varied 18-hole combinations, so ask which two nines are assigned for your visit.
Course facts and scorecard units
The official fact sheet lists 27 holes, combined par 108 and a total length of 9,775 metres. This corrects the par-106 figure in the original Sasak Tour article. The original tee table mixes a nine-hole Plantation total with an 18-hole River/Lake total in yards; compare like-for-like combinations using the current club scorecard.
Holes to look out for
The original guide highlights Lake’s sixth hole as a short par 4 offering a risk-and-reward decision, and Plantation’s fourth as a distinctive example of its Nicklaus-designed nine. Take the day’s tee placement, wind and hazards into account before deciding whether to attack. The chosen combination matters when interpreting any reference to the closing holes.
Tournament background
The source describes a history of major professional golf at Emeralda, including the Indonesian Open and other international events. These references help explain the championship-course reputation but should be distinguished from current tournament schedules and the setup on an ordinary visitor day.
Clubhouse and facilities
The original guide describes the clubhouse as inspired by Bandung’s Gedung Sate and photographs its reception, lobby, lockers, shop, restaurant, range and putting areas. For a private room, event space or any leisure and wellness service mentioned in older material, check present availability and access conditions with the club.
Caddies and playing conditions
The source describes one-to-one caddie assistance and a sizeable caddie team. Confirm the arrangement for your group rather than treating an old staffing estimate as a current count. Ask about course maintenance, cart rules and recent weather, then spend time on the practice green to understand the day’s pace.
Location and visitor access
Use the official Tapos–Depok location when planning the route along the Jagorawi corridor. Drive time varies with your starting point and traffic. Confirm visitor eligibility, the course combination, check-in requirements and tee-time availability directly with the club.
