At a glance
Course setting and background
The source describes New Kuta as a links-style course opened in 2007, designed by Golfplan’s Ronald Fream on the limestone plateau at Pecatu. Its location near Dreamland Beach and Uluwatu makes a round easy to combine with a south-Bali itinerary. Travel time from the airport depends on traffic rather than the short estimate in the old guide.
Layout and signature holes
The first nine move through inland tropical vegetation and limestone terrain, while the second nine bring more ocean views and wind exposure. Generous landing areas, deep bunkers and contoured greens demand considered club selection. Holes 14–16 form the coastal highlight; the par-three 15th, “Cliff Hanger”, is the signature described in the source.
Tee distances in the source
Monkey: 6,832 m; Tiger: 6,378 m; Cobra: 6,002 m; Dragon: 5,566 m; Eagle: 5,165 m. These are the archive figures. Choose tees according to your game and confirm the club’s current scorecard, setup and playing conditions.
Facilities and round planning
The guide lists a clubhouse, locker rooms, showers, restaurant, pro shop and practice facilities. It describes individual caddie assistance and paspalum turf. Check tee-time availability, maintenance dates, cart and caddie arrangements, rental clubs and what the quoted green fee includes before booking.
