Discover Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII)
TMII brings the landscapes, traditional houses and cultural heritage of the Indonesian archipelago into one large park. It is a rewarding place to start if you want to understand how different the country’s regions look, dress and live, without travelling between islands.
A park shaped around Indonesia
The original guide introduces TMII as a miniature of Indonesia, with regional pavilions, museums, landscaped grounds and places of worship. Rather than treating it as a single attraction to finish quickly, choose a few areas that interest you and allow time to move between them.
Regional houses & cultural pavilions
Compare the architecture of Papua, Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Bali and Nusa Tenggara. The original photo tour highlights raised houses, carved decoration and regional displays. Look beyond the building exteriors: where open, the pavilion interiors add context through clothing, everyday objects and cultural collections.
The lake, cable car & museums
The lake’s miniature island layout is one of TMII’s defining views. A cable-car ride offers a different perspective across the park, while Museum Indonesia provides an indoor introduction to culture and craftsmanship. Other museums, gardens and family attractions let you build a visit around your own interests.
Planning your visit
Start with the official park map, choose your priority pavilions and check the individual museum or ride hours. TMII offers visitor transport options, and some venues require separate tickets. The official booking portal distinguishes domestic and foreign visitors, so select the correct category before paying. Bring comfortable shoes, drinking water and sun protection.
